Good morning. Another busy day in the News 5 newsroom. I’m back in the saddle for the Noon Newscast, so I’ll make this another short post.
A couple things.. If you haven’t had a chance to check out our live blog detailing what’s happening in the trial of Mark Blankenburg I highly recommend doing so. You’ll find it on our homepage (just click through the Top Stories section to find the link). I’m amazed the defense rested after only a few hours (if that) of testimony, etc. Don’t know what the means..
What else? I’m trying to wrap my head around the analogy many are making on the health care front that requiring everyone to have health insurance would be like requiring everyone to have car insurance. Well, is it really the same? I don’t necessarily see the correlation between crashing a car – which can definitely ruin someone else’s day – and getting sick – which generally just ruins your own day. I suspect I’m going to have to put my thinking cap on to make sure I know how I genuinely feel about this one.. Random thought, I know.. But hey, that’s who I am!!
